Lashes are taking the beauty world by storm, I literally see them on women everywhere I go!!! At Salon Muse 2.0 we offer classic lashes, hybrid and volume lash extensions that are tailored to you and that will keep the integrity of your natural lash health. Classic is the process of one lash extension placed on one of your natural lashes, Volume is a few extensions made into a fan that are placed on one of your natural lashes and hybrid is the mixture of both classic and volume lashes. When you are coming in for your first appointment, you may or may not have an idea of the look you are wanting to go with and that is okay because we will discuss the style, lengths etc with you before we get started. Whether you are coming in for a new set or a fill we ask you come in freshly showered and you have no eye makeup/residue left on and around your natural lashes. Why do we ask this? The lash adhesive used requires a clean slate with no oils etc to ensure the best retention. Please do not have coffee/caffeine a few hours before your appointment as it causes your eyelids to flutter making it harder during the process. The first set will be a 1.5 - 2 hour long appointment depending on how many natural lashes you have, fills should be booked 2-3 weeks after your first appointment and will be around an hour long appointment. Why do you need to book a fill? Well because you shed about 2-5 natural lashes per day and by week 3 you have probably lost more then 50% of you lash extensions. The importance of aftercare is huge, it will impact the retention of your lash extensions. So you can not get your lashes wet for 24 hours after your appointment and that means no hot showers, hot yoga, saunas etc. and stand away from the hot oven when first opening it up! Make sure to brush your lashes daily, morning and night, as well as cleanse them daily with an oil-free cleanser. If you wear oil-free makeup DO NOT forget this step! For the love of God DO NOT WEAR MASCARA on your lash extensions it will ruin the extensions, but you can definitely wear an oil-free mascara on your bottom lashes if you choose to do so. Lastly try not to sleep on your face, the friction of a cotton pillow case can cause lashes to fall out prematurely.
